Hong Kong’s High Speed Connections!
2019-04-24 15:07
Travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen in under 20 minutes or to Guangzhou in under an hour on China’s High Speed Railway Network.
Opened in 2018 the High Speed Rail runs directly from West Kowloon in Hong Kong to Shenzhen and Guangzhou in China. The rail link also connects Hong Kong to China’s vast high speed rail network. Through connections to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Kunming, Urumqi, Guilin and Xi’an give travelers an alternative mode of transport to flights to hundreds of destinations in China.

IMMIGRATION made easy. The West Kowloon Station allows for both Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese immigration clearance to take place in one Hall. So on departure or arrival, you can clear both customs check-points consecutively.

TIME savings. Particularly for shorter haul destinations such as Guilin and Guangzhou, once you factor in travel time to and waiting time in airports, it can be as quick or quicker to “ride” than to fly. If you are visiting Shenzhen or Guangzhou for exhibitions, fairs or factory visits, the time it takes to check-in, clear immigrations and travel to your destination can be less than half the time previously taken by cross border train or vehicles.

SEATING. Train configurations vary with Business Class, First Class and Second Class available on long haul connections and First and Second Class on the shorter direct routes.
